TCS-Indore campus gathers momentum: Three-quarters land acquired

Indore: The Indore Development Authority (IDA) has successfully managed to register 75 acres of land out of the 100 acres that it plans to hand over to the Tata Consultancy services (TCS) where the I-T giant will build its campus.

On Tuesday, a team led by IDA official, Rajneesh Shrivastav, conducted a registry camp at villages to accelerate the process of land acquisition. In a special camp organised on Tuesday, 11 farmers from Tigaria Badshah village handed the land over to the IDA. The civic body had already 14 acres in its name. The remaining 25 acres of land is in the process of being allotted to the IDA and talks on it between officials will take place on Wednesday. Read: Govt gives green signal, TCS-Indore dream to turn into reality soon

TCS will build a massive campus here on the Super Corridor which will take Indore’s development to the next level.

The farmers who have given their land to the IDA said that they have told the authorities that they want to be rehabilitated in the vicinity. Officials of the IDA have been conducting discussions over the issue with farmers for the past two days. The IDA has taken the demands of the farmers from them in written. Read: TCS Indore hits another govt roadblock

TCS plans to invest Rs 1000 crore in its Indore campus in the next five years. The I-T giant said that around 25000 people would be hired for its operations in Indore.

As far as medical hub project is concerned, the IDA claims that acquisition of farmland for it is complete in Tigaria Badshah belt, and the process of land acquisition for inter-state bus terminal (ISBT) is going on. TCS-Indore saga: Political leaders, social groups up in arms

The 29-acre ISBT is to come up near MR-10 bridge near the Khan River. For this, the IDA has to acquire some 21 acres land.

Indore Real Estate market boom fuelled by TCS Indore

IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been exploring possibilities of investment in Madhya Pradesh. The TCS team led by the CEO N Chandrashekharan visited five places in and around Indore accompanied by senior Government officials, and short-listed a 100 acre land on the Super Corridor for its campus.

The Indore real estate market is expecting a boom in the near term because of expectations of increase in demand for houses by the investors as well as end users, especially in townships and group housing projects.
