Arif Sheikh Gets Additional Responsibility of CEO

Arif Sheikh, Executive Director of Indore-based Entertainment World Developers Limited has been shouldered with additional responsibility of CEO. Sheikh, an industry veteran with over 23 years of experience in retail and real estate assumed the charge from B. Rajesh Nair.

Nair was associated with EWDL since inception of the company. Announcing the change in organization, Manish Kalani, Managing Director of EWDL said, “I feel delighted that Sheikh’s proven ability to lead and inspire the team will enable us to continue on the momentum that we’ve established in the retail and real estate sector. In the last few months, Sheikh as Executive Director has delivered outstanding results in corporate governance, strategic planning, operational planning, budget development, Internal performance management etc.

Sheikh has earned great reputation in retail industry through his ‘dedication’ & ‘aggressive strategies’ which stimulate revenues, sale patterns, customer base and drive organizations to reach celestial heights of success. His areas of expertise are business planning, P&L management, human resource, facility management and HR i.e. overall management of retail & real estate projects. Sheikh has bagged many awards & accolades including - Dubai Shopping Festival Best Retail Chain / CEO Awards – 1999; Global Retail Forum; Pantaloon/VM&RD Design Awards – 2006 and Asia Retail Best Speaker Award – 2008 etc.

Traveled more than 70 countries from US to Europe, Africa to Australia, Middle East to Southeast Asia, Sheikh is a walking lexicon of retail industry.
